NICOLE LEUNG — SOPRANO

Praised for “her natural warmth matched equally by innate lyricism” (Opera Canada) and “glittering brilliance with her soaring top notes,” (Opera Canada), Canadian soprano Nicole Leung most recently performed as Soprano in The House with Ammolite Opera (Rocking Horse Winner) and as soprano soloist with Edmonton Opera in its Opera Al Fresco Concert. She concluded her 24/25 season as an Emerging Artist with Opera on the Avalon and also made debuts with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Toronto City Opera, and was a laureate of Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques. In March 2025, she covered Orsia in Opera Parallèle’s world premiere The Pigeon Keeper, followed by covering Gilda in Pacific Opera Victoria’s production of Rigoletto.

Nicole is an alumna of the McPhee Artist Development Program at Calgary Opera, the Banff Centre, and Festival Napa Valley. She holds degrees from New England Conservatory of Music (BM) and The Yale School of Music (MM, MMA).
